Kate Moss for Just Cavalli fall 09
Roberto Cavalli’s shows are always fun to watch. For Just Cavalli spring 2010 the designer sent Courtney Love from the table tops of the 90s to the speakeasies of the 1920s. Everywhere you looked there were tons of rock&roll influences, lingerie layering and jazzy fringe:


He and his design team tend to construct collections with both the customer and the runway in mind. Cavalli, being no stranger to prints and glitz, is a true showman. It seems his design process starts like most in the business; a collection of ideas, emotions and references. However, where others try to define and explain, Cavalli’s reference appear disjointed, his ideas are formless and yet comprehensible. This, for us, is where the fun comes in.
