If Phoebe Philo at Celine has become synonymous with couture-quality minimalism, Jonny Johansson at Acne has become the definitive voice of streetwear simplicity.

With Acne‘s highly successful Spring 2011 collection Johansson introduced a new department for the brand, handbags!

When asked for his inspiration “Sea findings” is what the Acne creative director told his accessories collaborator Husam El Odeh. Confused? We were too, until we saw the preview images:

We love how far these  bags were from a literal interpretation of life below sea-level. Besides, who wants to carry seaweed and shells on their arms!?
