Thankfully in San Diego it’s sunny and warm, whichis making me think of my new spring wardrobe! Back in September, the runways at fashion week were filled with bright colors mixed together in unfamiliar ways. It was an eye opener for what’s to come for Spring and I’m too excited to start sporting this look. Designers such as Gucci, Marc Jacobs, and Prada are loving the color blocking trend as well. Here are the Spring 2011 Ad campaigns that feature the color blocking trend to give you more inspiration. Think out of the box and have fun with color this Spring!

Black on black usually seems impossible to pull off, but this woman’s incredibly chic outfit is to die for! She used a tight fitting dress with sheer panels and a structured blazer to add contrast. The sheer panels are very intriguing, and the small details such as the chain bag and over-the-knee high boots are the icing on the cake to this well thought-out outfit. Take a risk and wear this during the day like her and you will for sure get noticed. Thankfully the pieces in this outfit are easy to find and alternate choices are available at DJPremium.com! To re-create this look, try this LaROK bodycon dress, MinkPink sequined black blazer, Tom Ford sunglasses, Rock & Republic boots, and Pour La Victoire bag.

Sequins for most girls can present a serious wardrobe dilemma. What do I wear this with? Is it too much? Does it look like I’m trying too hard?
Thankfully sequins have found a niche in the trending “less is more” approach to dress, being paired with neutral knits and an overall muted color palette to put to rest any of your concerns.
We’ve taking some notes from fashionistas like Taylor Tomasi Hill (shown above), who’ve managed to make sequins look more effortless than you could have ever imagined possible.
We love the way the mixing of proportions and fabrics balance out the texture and sheen of her sequined skirt.
