Nothing complements dope denim more than the perfect pair of kicks, and vise-versa. So, it comes as no surprise that Supra, the skater brand that changed footwear design since its 2006 debut, looks undeniably superior when paired with Japanese denim tycoon Edwin Jeans.
Check out the two together in a rather preppy editorial in Attitude Magazine!
Here at DJP we pay just as much attention to the pieces in our favorite designers’ closets as what looks they put out on the runway. Let’s face it, if someone can’t dress themselves how are they going to be to dress anyone else?

Jonny Johansson thought it was about time to get down to business, or at least down to the business tailoring clothes. Acne has been the label for the effortless types, the creators and the fun-lovers and now, apparently, for the daring business types!
Who knows what Johansson was really thinking but the tailoring was undoubtedly new and refreshing (that along with string of trousers with the not-so-subtle pops of color). The design team at Acne accomplished a clear, youthful collection which has become expected of the house.
While most of the clarity came from the precision of the tailoring, all of the youthful essence drew from the overcoats, knits and oxfords too big for the models adding an innocence to the collection, for balance.

Leighton Meester horsing around for the Missoni s/s 2011 campaign
There’s nothing that can make Missoni knits better than the face of Gossip Girl Leighton Meester. The style star has been spotted on red carpets and front rows around the world, and now she’s the new face for Missoni!
In the most recent campaign, shot by Jeurgen Teller, Meester joined forces with Joan Burstein and Lorra Teller. The new campaign is working to redefine what customers expect from the brand. The collection is not just for models, but for all the bohemians out there willing to take a chance with their widely popular, psychedellic knits!

Thankfully in San Diego it’s sunny and warm, whichis making me think of my new spring wardrobe! Back in September, the runways at fashion week were filled with bright colors mixed together in unfamiliar ways. It was an eye opener for what’s to come for Spring and I’m too excited to start sporting this look. Designers such as Gucci, Marc Jacobs, and Prada are loving the color blocking trend as well. Here are the Spring 2011 Ad campaigns that feature the color blocking trend to give you more inspiration. Think out of the box and have fun with color this Spring!

Black on black usually seems impossible to pull off, but this woman’s incredibly chic outfit is to die for! She used a tight fitting dress with sheer panels and a structured blazer to add contrast. The sheer panels are very intriguing, and the small details such as the chain bag and over-the-knee high boots are the icing on the cake to this well thought-out outfit. Take a risk and wear this during the day like her and you will for sure get noticed. Thankfully the pieces in this outfit are easy to find and alternate choices are available at DJPremium.com! To re-create this look, try this LaROK bodycon dress, MinkPink sequined black blazer, Tom Ford sunglasses, Rock & Republic boots, and Pour La Victoire bag.
