Raphael Saadiq at Lollapalooza

The ever-dapper Raphael Saadiq is at it again! His latest album, “Stone Rolling” was released on May 25th and we can vouch for him; the purveyor of ol’ school R&B hasn’t lost a drop of soul.

The album debuted at #14 on Billboard‘s Top-200, and the critics are on his side. Saadiq says he considers “Stone Rollin’ ” to be “definitely a departure” and even riskier” than “The Way I See It” and acknowledges that the overall sound is more raw than his previous album’s smoother mod-Motown feel.

Don’t just take our word for it, check it out for yourself!

As a belated birthday present to the reining queen of the original super models, we’re spotlighting Naomi Campbell’s domination over the onesie.

It’s truly impressive how severely she served body in a classic one-piece. Cheers to Naomi Campbell; she brought curves back to the runway and redefined the prima donna super model.

We pulled only the best one-pieces from Diesel, LSPACE, House of Jackie Brown, and Insight to pay homage to the timeless Miss Campbell, may she continue to snatch covers and Russian billionaires until the end.

When catching up with our long-time friend and fashion expert Claire of The Fashion Bomb Daily we couldn’t help but notice how fresh her look was.

While we tend to live in jeggings for convenience and comfort, Claire reminded us just how fabulous wide-leg jeans can be–not to mention how important they’ll be in spring with the oncoming 70s revival.

Her choice, DOJO TROUSER JEANS by 7 for All Mankind and we don’t blame her one bit.

Here at DJP we pay just as much attention to the pieces in our favorite designers’ closets as what looks they put out on the runway. Let’s face it, if someone can’t dress themselves how are they going to be to dress anyone else?

Leighton Meester horsing around for the Missoni s/s 2011 campaign

There’s nothing that can make Missoni knits better than the face of Gossip Girl Leighton Meester. The style star has been spotted on red carpets and front rows around the world, and now she’s the new face for Missoni!

In the most recent campaign, shot by Jeurgen Teller, Meester joined forces with Joan Burstein and Lorra Teller. The new campaign is working to redefine what customers expect from the brand. The collection is not just for models, but for all the bohemians out there willing to take a chance with their widely popular, psychedellic knits!

What do you get for the diva who has everything? Just ask Beyoncé!

The Grammy award winning recording artist probably could care less if Jay-Z decided to spend $300,000 on her at Hermès this past Christmas. The truth of the matter is a diva (like most of us) really only needs love, and a little Wildfox Couture as a reminder.

Check out Beyoncé in New York sporting the “Love Is Everything” tee by Wildefox Couture.

Get yours now at DJP while you shop our wide selection of Wildfox Couture collection!

Sequins for most girls can present a serious wardrobe dilemma. What do I wear this with? Is it too much? Does it look like I’m trying too hard?

Thankfully sequins have found a niche in the trending “less is more” approach to dress, being paired with neutral knits and an overall muted color palette to put to rest any of your concerns.

We’ve taking some notes from fashionistas like Taylor Tomasi Hill (shown above), who’ve managed to make sequins look more effortless than you could have ever imagined possible.

We love the way the mixing of proportions and fabrics balance out the texture and sheen of her sequined skirt.

Up for the challenge? Our favorite brands LaROK, Evil Twin, Mink Pink, BCBG and Plastic Island are here to back you up!

Last night, NYC was graced with the amazing Victoria’s Secret fashion show with top models such as Chanel Iman, Karolina Kurkova, Jessica Stam, Adriana Lima, and much more.  This fashion show is one of my favorites of the year to watch because it ismore about the presentation, styling, and performance!  The outfits are beautifully adorned with detailed and themed wings for the models and their positive energy on stage is the perfect culmination of a great show.  Though the fashion show is not going to premiere on TV until November 30, you can get a sneak peek on FabSugar!

Katy Perry is everywhere in the music scene and it’s not surprising.  With her bubbly attitude, stage presence, and bright costumes, what is there not to love about Ms. Perry?  She was the cherry on top as one of the performers for the fashion show.  Alongside the VS models with their elaborate costumes, Katy Perry stepped up and challenged these top models!  Check below to see Katy Perry’s fun outfits from the show.

In the far right image, though the dress was insane, the over-the-knee boots were the best accessory for that dress.  If you’re in love with those boots just as much as I am, we have a great pair similar to that style by Rock & Republic, buy them here!
